Paycheck LedgerPrecise, source-led, conservative, and transparent about payroll limitations

Trust and transparency

About Paycheck Ledger

Paycheck Ledger exists to make paycheck math easier to inspect before you make payroll, budgeting, or job-offer decisions.

Purpose

The site estimates take-home pay using gross pay, pay frequency, federal withholding inputs, FICA, Medicare, supported deductions, and verified state withholding status.

The goal is transparency: show what is included, what is not included, and which sources were reviewed.

Estimate-only approach

Results are planning estimates, not legal, tax, payroll, accounting, HR, or financial advice.

Important payroll decisions should be verified against your employer, payroll provider, tax professional, or official agency guidance.

Source-led maintenance

Federal sources and promoted 2026 jurisdiction sources are monitored for changes. Source changes are reviewed before calculator logic changes.

Jurisdictions that are still missing calculator-ready official sources stay visible as limited pages and do not include state withholding in the estimate.
